WC Sports Group will be running the SPT1 course next year in Cape Town
The course will be presented in a modular format of 5 modules, presented from a Thursday to a Saturday, starting in January 2017, with an approximately 6 week gap between modules. We have made some exciting changes to the course for 2017.
The objectives of the course:
- To improve the clinical reasoning and assessment skills of the candidate.
- To provide the candidate with an advanced understanding of mechanisms of injuries commonly sustained during sport
- To improve the therapeutic skills in the management of sports injuries for the acute, chronic and final phases of rehabilitation
Dates of the modules:
Module 1: 19 - 22 Jan 2017
Module 2: 2 - 4 March 2017
Module 3: 4 - 6 May 2017
Module 4: 27 - 29 July 2017
Module 5: 7 - 9 September 2017
Exams: 27 - 28 October 2017
Total cost: R19 950 incl VAT
Applicants need to have completed their Community Service year and be working in a Sports/Orthopaedic practice in order to apply the knowledge gained on course. Additional shadowing hours will be required if not working in such a practice. 2 -3 working years of experience is preferable.
